We were there "off season" as a stop heading South. It appeared to be a nice place with a pool and fishing ponds. We were not able to see it as it should be. I'd like to come back in the Summer to experience it. A good thing is that it is a Passport America CG and although there were significant restrictions on its use, it did save us some money.
After reading the reviews of this campground I wasn't sure if we wanted to try it, but we were in the area and figured we'd give it a chance since the reviews covered both ends of the spectrum. I should have trusted my judgement! The spaces were narrow, short and not level. The facilities were nothing to write home about. I also had the feeeling that the CG wasn't for camping but rather to promote their other sideline. (Health & Wellness) How can reviews of the same CG be so far off? Maybe the one poster is correct and the positives come from the owner?
Wow, this is an old CG with MANY permanent residents in old trailers. I was disappointed but, we did stay for one night. It appears that there is an attempt to make things better, but there is a long way to go. I will not stay there again.
I'm not sure why this campground exists. It is a parking lot just off the main highway with dirt roads and tight sites. It has nothing that I am looking for in a campground. About the only amenity it has is a pool. It is OK for an overnight but I can't see where it would be considered as a destination. One positive is that it is in the heart of the BBQ belt and we had a good one in a local establishment.
